In the tissues of the thyroid gland, cancer cells form In the tissues of the thyroid gland, cancer cells form. This is called thyroid cancer. The thyroid is located in the throat, next to the trachea (windpipe). It has a right and left lobe, just like the brain does. The isthmus, a thin piece of tissue, connects the 2 lobes. The thyroid gland is in a butterfly shape. What is Thyroid Cancer?

Here are some signs that you might have Thyroid cancer: 1 Here are some signs that you might have Thyroid cancer: 1. Fatigue -you’re exhausted when you wake up, even if you’ve had your 8 to 10 hours of sleep 2. Weight Changes –you have unexplained weight loss or you gain a lot of weight suddenly 3. Muscle And Joint Pain –it hurts even though you haven’t injured yourself 4.Swollen Neck –you have neck pain and a gravelly voice 5. Hair And/or Skin Changes –you have dry skin or hair loss If you have any of these symptoms, you might want to go to the doctor Symptoms and signs

What Causes it? Thyroid cancer’s cause is unknown.

A solution to thyroid cancer could be surgery to remove areas where cancer had spread. After surgery a lot of people go to radioactive therapy, Targeted therapy, External-Beam Radiation therapy, or A clinical trial of chemotherapy. How is it Treated?

How Can we Prevent it From Happening? Especially in childhood, radiation exposure is a known thyroid cancer risk factor. To start, don’t smoke! Smoking is responsible for 30% of all cancer deaths Exercise! Excessive body weight increases risk of cancer. Eat less red-meats and processed meats. They Have Fat! How Can we Prevent it From Happening?
