PE kit policy There may well be times when your child isn't able to take part in the physical aspect of the lesson through illness or injury.  In all cases, students must have a note explaining the reason and how long they might be unable to participate for (this can be written into their planner).  Students are still expected to bring kit (if poor weather tracksuit bottoms rather than short/skort is permitted) as they will support the learning of others as an assistant coach.  They will be involved in the learning as much as possible.   If your child fails to arrive to the lesson with a note and/or their PE kit they will be issued with a reminder of the DHS PE policy in their planner which will need signing by a Parent/Carer and showing to their PE teacher on the next PE lesson.  They will then be given PE kit to borrow for the lesson.  Should your child amass three reminders over the term, their PE teacher will contact home and discuss the situation and hopeful solution. In more serious injury cases where your child might find getting changed difficult (for example, a broken arm), the teacher will discuss with your child a reasonable adjustment to suit their needs.
