Context and Purpose Pt. 2 Genesis 2, 3

Remember: The Man and Woman were placed in their context for the Lord’s purposes- which were never undone or changed.

The Lord’s single question to His people, “Where are you The Lord’s single question to His people, “Where are you?” always introduces the new opportunity for seeing God’s plans unfold.

The Lord’s question is not what it appears The Lord’s question is not what it appears. It is not a location inquiry as if they can’t be seen; it is relational, suggesting they were not with Him.

When God asked questions, His faithful people show willing trust by responding with one word: Hineni.

Abraham: before Isaac’s redemption. Jacob: before being sent home. Jacob: before being sent to Egypt. Moses: before being sent to Israel. Isaiah before being sent to Judah. Messiah: as he came to the world.

Hineni is the first part of accepting the opportunity of your context and purpose. No matter how much we prepare or practice, everything begins with where you are.
