The Characters Heidi: a 16 yr. old girl who lives in the Dove House Mansion; the site of the plane crash. Heidi is very independent, and courageous but she doesn’t have friends. Patrick Farquhar: a 17 yr. old boy yearning to be able to put his rescue training to work. he loves danger, challenges, and cars. Tuck and Daniel: Two brothers trying to make it to their father’s wedding where he will wed again. Tuck is younger and is very obedient while Daniel is a trouble maker & rebellious. Darienne: a spoiled and sophisticated girl with a natural beauty. But because of this, she is very stuck up and snobby. Carly: a misunderstood teenager who is returning home after running away ato follow a gang. Teddie: a little girl coming home from her grandparents to her parents that adore her like an angel

The Setting/Summary/Opinion The setting of the book takes place on a Saturday, on a 747 plane, and at the Dove House Mansion. place on a field in the backyard of the mansion that originally was a pasture for Heidi’s horses. The story takes place all in one day. A plane unexpectantly crashes in the backyard. Heidi reacts to the emergency and phone for help. First to arrive is the courageous Patrick. Throughout the story, each character tells about that disastrous night about how they survived or died. As time passes, more help arrives. Heidi learns the importance of a “golden hour of life”. In the end, everyone survives except Carly who has a very tragic death. I thought that this book was truly inspiring and it was jam packed with action. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone to read.

My Ending…. the way it ended was that Carly died, not that many I didn’t really like the ending of this book because the way it ended was that Carly died, not that many people were rescued, and Patrick started to like Heidi. If I could of changed the ending, I would have let Carly live, let everyone get rescued, and Patrick would start dating Heidi. That’s the way my ending would be in this book.
