Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN) The Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN) is a European system of sample surveys conducted every year to collect accountancy data from farms, with the aim of monitoring the income and business activities of EU agricultural holdings. Moreover, the FADN is an important informative source for understanding the impact of the measures taken under the Common Agricultural Policy on different types of agricultural holdings.

Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA) It is the leading Italian research organization dedicated to the agri-food sector, with legal personality under public law, supervised by the Mipaaf. It has scientific expertise in the agricultural, fish, forest, nutritional and socio-economic sectors as well as full scientific, statutory, organizational, administrative and financial autonomy.

Farm Advisory System (FAS) The Farm Advisory System aims at helping farmers to better understand and meet the EU rules for environment, public and animal health, animal welfare and the good agricultural and environmental condition.

Cross Compliance All direct payments are linked to the respect of a number of statutory requirements relating to environment, climate change, good agricultural condition of land, human, animal & plant health standards and animal welfare.

Union customs code (UCC) The Union Customs Code (UCC) is part of the modernisation of customs and serves as the new framework regulation on the rules and procedures for customs throughout the EU.

Simplicity, service and speed key drivers of the UCC The UCC builds on existing concepts to streamline the customs processes and procedures across the Customs Union. For instance, it clarifies the rules on release for free circulation and on special procedures. SERVICE: It introduces modern concepts and offers more uniformity to business, by providing uniform and harmonised rules on guarantees, for example. It also reduces the administrative burden on compliant and trustworthy economic operators SPEED: The UCC strives for further automation of all exchange and storage of information through additional IT systems that integrate the new processes and legal requirements.
