Mid-Semester Course Evaluation Results CS310 Mid-Semester Course Evaluation Results

Lectures Informative Too much time spent on homework Like the examples Too many symbols Some lectures hard/others easy – unbalanced Unclear because of terminology Have gotten better

3 things you like Interesting “friendly and funny professor” Examples Solutions to homework posted Practice exam Like long problem sets with distant due date Class participation Notes/Handouts The mix of people in the class Good pace

3 things to change Not sure how this will be helpful Where are we in the book, where are we going? I’ve lagged on this Too much time spent on homework More discussion about homework Sometimes too many examples (especially earlier) More (numbered) examples More detailed explanation/step-by-step More practice tests/more shorter homeworks More feedback Return homework quicker Computers are a distraction in class!

Other I could demand more from you! Test was a bit easy Appreciate the professor’s ability to admit when he makes a mistake. Communication between instructors about assignments/tests/projects
