WARM UPS 1/13/2019 How do you increase your gravitational potential energy? Goal: I will examine kinetic and potential energy. 86 – Radon – Rn Radon is a principal element in the decay chain of uranium and thorium, so it is fairly abundant, even though its half-life is only 3.2 days. Because granite bedrock tends to have a lot of uranium and thorium, radon, which is a heavy gas, can leak up through the rock and accumulate in people’s basements posing serious health concern.
