Objectives, Outputs and Outcomes Manage and coordinate programmes of activity to accelerate and maximise digital inclusion across the city 10,000 people engaged 3,000 people receive digital skills training 100 organisations join the Online Centres Network 100 organisations take part in the tablet lending scheme Recruit and train 150 Digital Champions Objectives, Outputs and Outcomes Across the whole of the digital inclusion programme there is a requirement to fully evidence efficiencies, impact and return on investment. Housing tenants and other citizens who are digitally excluded are also likely to be unemployed or on a low income, be chronically ill or disabled, have low literacy levels or be from lower socio-economic groups. The investment into our digital inclusion programme will see people achieving better health and wellbeing outcomes, improve their financial capability and employment prospects and reduce their social isolation. By increasing digital inclusion we will realise benefits across a range of indicators. #JoinTheMovement #SmartLeeds

We tackle the most pressing social issues of our time, working with partners in thousands of communities across the UK and further afield. Research organisation. Good Things Foundation is focusing on enabling a process of knowledge transfer steered by this model, inspiring and enabling Leeds City Council to build the capacity and capability to oversee a movement for 100% Digital Leeds. Similarly, the partnership is working on the basis of a clear approach, through which Good Things Foundation will begin by ‘showing the way’ and over time stepping back, empowering and supporting Leeds City Council to oversee and manage the components and resources required to underpin the 100% Digital Leeds movement. Barriers to Digital Inclusion Skills Lack of online skills and confidence Connectivity Cost of equipment and broadband Motivation Lack of interest of understanding of the benefits Barriers to Digital Inclusion Social factors such as lack of literacy and numeracy, disability, isolation, learning difficulty, language barriers, non-engagement, antisocial behaviour, physical and mental health… From 53% of Annual Home Visits completed by Housing, we know: 7,721 (27%) of tenants don’t have access to the internet 1,267 (4.5%) don’t have skills or confidence 873 (3.0%) don’t know where to get online 4,207 (14.7%) don’t want to or don’t feel the need to 860 (3.0%) have no device or can’t afford to Approximately 2000 of these tenants are of working age.
