BIOLOGY Unit 2: Frog Notes

In The Chest Heart: Lungs: Circulate blood and nutrients throughout the body. Lungs: Bring in oxygen gas, and release carbon dioxide gas.

In The Upper Abdomen Liver: Stomach: Break down toxins in the blood. Break down food into molecular compounds.

In The Lower Abdomen Intestines: Cloaca: Absorb food nutrients + excrete waste Cloaca: Multipurpose hole in which Sperm/Eggs, Urine and Fecal Matter all come out.

Fat Bodies Additional energy storage + body heat.

Kidneys Filter the blood and maintain blood homeostasis.

The Brain Controls all other organ systems and allows the frog to respond.

(Do NOT have to identify) Male Parts (Do NOT have to identify) Sperm Testes Cloaca

(Do NOT have to identify) Female Parts (Do NOT have to identify) Eggs Ovaries Cloaca
