TRADITIONAL FOLK CULTURAL ASSOCIATION SOLERA ALHAURÍN DE LA TORRE MÁLAGA SPAIN

The Solera Folkloric Group, consisting of choir and dance folktale, is the oldest of those trained in Alhaurin de la Torre. It was born in 1990 from the desire of people of different ages and professions, but with a common denominator: their love for the traditions and the folklore culture.             In 1992, they became Solera Cultural Association, and because their regular performances at local and provincial shows, they are claimed to participate in numerous national and international festivals. In 1994 the Folklore Festival was created and since then, it has been held every year without interruption, the first Saturday of July, with international relevance, due to the different groups of European folklore that each year are invited to participate in it.             The Solera Folkloric Group conducts its folkloric activity developing a repertoire of popular songs spanning the entire region of Andalusia. In its general repertoire there is at least one song by province, a circumstance that authorizes it to represent Andalusia in their exchanges with other regions or provinces and abroad.             Its thorough research and recovery of popular themes are enhanced with the addiction of his dance group, with its staging and richness of its own wardrobe that is typical of each dance and region.
