Important Events Important Reminders Homework August 28th-September 1 Important Events Aug. 28th Parent Back-To-School Night at 6:00-6:45 in Room 2 Aug. 28th Parent Volunteer Meeting at 4:15-5:00 Sept. 4th Labor Day/No School Here’s what we’re Working On ELA- Weekly focus “I Can” Phonics- letter/sounds Oo-Xx. Review letters with your child to help them recognize them. Reading- Building oral vocabulary and listening comprehension skills. Recognizing and producing rhyming words and identifying 1-2 syllable words. Sight-Words- I and can. Please practice these sight words with your child each night. Writing- Identify and segment/count words in print. Developing fine motor skills- trace slant/curve/vertical/horizontal lines. Math- Identify numbers 1-5. Counting, one-to-one correspondence. Identifying, read, and write numbers. Weekly Shape- Circle Important Reminders Please send your child with a small snack daily. Snack/recess time is only 20 minutes long. Please write your child’s name on their lunch pail, backpack, water bottle, and sweater/jacket. Homework Monday - Capital/Lowercase letter sorting Tuesday - Counting Objects #3 Wednesday – Capital/Lowercase letter sorting Thursday – Counting Objects #4 Read 15 minutes with your child each night!! Please make return homework daily. Student should include name and number at the top.
