Friday September 8, 2017 Does the amount of coffee a person drinks between the ages 12-18 affect their height as an adult? Write a hypothesis (if…,then… statement) for the scientific question above. What is the independent & dependent variable of this question? Is this question measurable? Why or why not?

Constants When putting together an experiment, it is also important to consider things within the experiment that should remain constant. This insures that data collected during an experiment is accurate because only the IV will affect the data. Example: Does the temperature of a classroom affect the scores students earn on tests? IV: Temperature of the classroom DV: Student test scores Constants: Same age or age range of students, same test given, same amount of time given to take test, same classroom, etc.
