Warm-Up: Connotation 1 In the following statements, what does the speaker want you to hear? What is actually being said? Some people ask if we use child labor. I ask them, do they know where their kids are? Moms choose our peanut butter because it is the best. It can help your kids grow! *Bonus Point: Which propaganda technique is being used in each example?*

Historical Parallels Essay - Pre-Work Pick a character from Animal Farm. Write down the character and the Russian parallel. Go through your notes and your book. List all features (personality, actions, motivations, etc.) of your character. INCLUDE PAGE NUMBERS. Get your list approved and stamped. Get a computer to research your USSR parallel.
