Disciples: Hear God’s voice What example did Jesus set? Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. So Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it.” They said to him, “Where will you have us prepare it?” He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house that he enters and tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ And he will show you a large upper room furnished; prepare it there.” And they went and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover. - Luke 22: 7-13

Disciples: Hear God’s voice How do you hear from God? Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar- Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven…” -Matthew 16:13-17

Disciples: Hear God’s voice How to avoid mistakes? Does it line up with scripture? Have you tested it? (1 John 4:1) Have you talked to others about it? (Proverbs 11:14) Ask God to confirm the word Will it honour Jesus or you? (John 7:17) What does the word produce in you? (James 3: 17)

Disciples: Hear God’s voice How to avoid mistakes?  But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.- James 3:14-17 Disciples: Hear God’s voice How to avoid mistakes?
