DG Environment, Unit D.2 Marine Environment and Water Industry Outstanding issues Still some aspects need further work, in particular: on reporting, cost effectiveness and cost benefit analysis, exceptions. Therefore, the title of the document has been changed in order to address the need to further develop the document -> towards a recommendation.

DG Environment, Unit D.2 Marine Environment and Water Industry Proposed follow up Endorse the document v11, Consider the outstanding issues for MD meeting, mainly: Category 2.a discussion and related CEA/CBA Reporting mechanism Ask WG DIKE to develop and finalize the reporting part in a more structured way and in close collaboration with WG ESA -> a drafting group may be necessary before summer Prepare more substantial chapters on exceptions (see next agenda point) Ask WG ESA to: fine tune CEA/CBA chapter and agree on a best practice document prepared by Arcadis (see agenda point on ESA feedback), Following financing opportunity workshop (13 May), elaborate Annex 2 dealing with Art 22 implementation Ask the 3 WG to review the final document before next MSCG Endorse the final doc by the end of the year.
