Polish Accreditation Committee The Act of 20th July 2001, amending the existing Higher Education Act, established the State Accreditation Committee as legal body working for the quality of education, defined its tasks and its working procedure. The Law on Higher Education, adopted by the Parliament on 27 July 2005, redefined the objectives of the Polish Accreditation Committee. The Polish Accreditation Committee is the only statutory body entrusted with the responsibility of evaluating the quality of higher education, its opinions and resolutions have a legally binding effect.

Polish Accreditation Committee On 15th April 2009 the Polish Accreditation Committee was officially accepted to European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) Polish Accreditation Committee is a full member of: European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) - since December 2005. International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) - since May 2007. European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA)- since January 2009.
