The young Jesuit Priest Father Paul LaForgue travels from Quebec into the heart of Native America. Set in New France in the 1630s. Discussant: Michael Oberg, History October 27 – 7pm Smoke Signals (Canada, USA, 1998; 89 min.) Cultural Harmony Week Co-Sponsored Event With a screenplay by Sherman Alexie, Smoke Signals is distinguished as the first film written, directed, co-produced, and acted by Native Americans.
