Introduction State the problem you are investigating. Describe why you chose your topic.

Hypothesis and Variables State your hypothesis in If……… then…….because format. Identify the independent variable and dependent variable. Identify constants and the state the number of trials.

Materials List all materials needed to conduct the experiment.

Procedure Outline the steps you used to conduct the experiment. These steps should be precise so that they can be replicated. Include safety guidelines.

Results Display data in tables, graphs, and pictures.

Conclusion State whether your hypothesis is accepted or rejected. Interpret your results. Look for trends and patterns in data and how your results compare to other research. Suggest any improvements that could be made in your experimental design. Describe next steps in your research.

Literature Review List the resources used to conduct research.

Acknowledgements List individuals who assisted you with your investigation.
