Estancia Rincon de los Leones

Estancia Rincon de los Leones is one of the marquee properties in the southern Patagonia region. The ranch consists of two parcels which comprise 12,522 hectares, including 9 km of the Río Chubut Riverfront. The parcels are independently fenced with main gates. There are two exquisite homes, overlooking the canyons is the Eagle's Nest and the White Palace located near the banks of the river; both have been recently built on the property.

There are other constructions in the valley which include: a 150 m2 guest house, a 100 m2 employee house, two barns of over 100m2 and two warehouses of 50 m2 and a new 400 m2 riverfront house currently under construction. Also, to facilitate access, a new 250m bridge has been constructed by the province of Chubut in front of Piedra Parada at the entrance of the property.

The Estancia The canyons of Patagonia are found along the same stretch of the Chubut River and are mostly inside the property. The private canyon is 15 km long and has 500 m high walls. The estancia also features plains, valley and a mountain range of over 1000 m in height. The area has a privileged micro-climate which makes the weather amenable year round; Rincon de los Leones experiences temperatures 5 to 7 degrees Celsius warmer than the Andes' front range. The rain fall is approx 300 mm, and there are 300 days of sun per year.

Each of the residences has its own water tank, internet, and a satellite phone. The Eagle's Nest also utilizes a gas-powered generator. Irrigation project includes 7 km main canal and 250 km of secondary and tertiary canals. There are over 400,00 trees like willow, pine and Alamo, fruit trees pears, grapes olives and apples. The estancia is known for its world-class fly fishing. On an average day, the Chubut River will yield trout of up to 3 kilos. The Estancia is also known for being home to a variety of wild animals such as Guanaco, Hare, Cougars, Foxes, Ostrich, Geese, and Ducks amongst many others.
