Paragraph Writing Process Learning Progression (Formal Scale): English Paragraph Writing Process Standard: 11.7.5.5: Use a writing process to develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, drafting, revising, editing, rewriting, or trying a new approach, focusing on addressing what is most significant for a specific purpose and audience. Learning Goal: Students will write to inform the reader on an assigned issue and effectively develop a paragraph. Learning Progression (Formal Scale): 4 Students will be able to: Adapt the outline to better fit the needs of your message Self-assess their progress and editing 3 Students will be able to independently: Form conclusions about the prompt Organize paragraphs and sentences into correct format Revise work to reflect correct essay requirements Edit work for inconsistencies and grammatical errors Identify errors or problems within another student’s essay 2 Students will recognize, recall, and demonstrate/utilize specific vocabulary, including: Body paragraph Topic Sentence that answers to the thesis/prompt 3 details introduced using transitions and back with evidence concluding sentence summarizing paragraph idea Students will perform basic processes, such as: Write in proper format to task 1 With help from the teacher, the student has partial success with the unit content. Even with help, the student has no success with the unit content.

Nursing takes a special type of person to do the job well Nursing takes a special type of person to do the job well. A nurse must have respect for others and must patiently listen to all the complaints of her patients. A nurse must be able to think quickly on her feet in case an emergency suddenly arises. It is important for a nurse to be knowledgeable about health and wellness and demonstrate healthy behaviors. Not just anyone can be a nurse; it takes someone with many skills.
