My visit to the…

When I get to the Museum, I will have to wait at the front desk until the adult who’s with me checks us in. The Museum has many different areas or exhibits to see. Other adults and kids may be at the Museum too!

Meet Baxter the Robot. Baxter will welcome you to the museum Meet Baxter the Robot! Baxter will welcome you to the museum. Baxter does not talk, but can do lots of fun things like stacking blocks!

In the Theater, I can pretend to be on stage and dress in special costumes! I can even play the piano, xylophone or bang on a drum. This area can be loud.

Stop by the Call Before You Dig Exhibit and jump in the foam pool!

Check out the Paleontology Area Check out the Paleontology Area! You can see our Allosaurus and dig for dinosaur bones in the sand table.

Come explore the outdoors in this area Come explore the outdoors in this area! Climb the tree house, camp in the tent, or relax with a good book in the great outdoors!

In the Climbing Space, you can crawl through the large tile tubes!

At the Modular Madness Exhibit, I can build so many things with the large building blocks! These are just some of the amazing creations I can build!

At the recycling area, I can sort discs and put them inside the matching area of the truck. The recycling truck has a working conveyor and will drop my discs from the back of the truck. It also has working lights just like a real truck! If the truck is too loud or the lights are too bright, I can turn the truck off.

If the lights are too bright or the alarm sound is too loud, they can be turned off. There is a firehouse at the Museum where I can learn how to escape from a fire and pretend to be a real firefighter, too! The fire truck has red flashing lights and there are real firefighter uniforms.

Courtroom Be a judge or a witness in the courtroom. You can put on a robe and grab the gavel to be the judge, or sit in the witness box to testify. It’s time for court!

H20 Zone! Water Table The water table exhibit is so much fun! You can control the water’s flow, watch the water vortex, and so much more!

I can be an artist! At the Awakening Minds art area, I can draw pictures, color and add lots of cool things to my art!

This space has soft, padded areas to play on. It is especially for babies and toddlers to walk, crawl, and explore. But, I can play here too!

At the schoolhouse, I can be the teacher or the student At the schoolhouse, I can be the teacher or the student! There is chalkboard, large books, and even a light table. It’s time for class!

At the baby nursery exhibit, I will find a stroller, crib, high chair and lots of baby care supplies. I can imagine I am a parent!

At the Children’s Museum, I can be a banker, bank teller, or even a bank manager! I can also practice counting money!

Check out our interactive floor game system Check out our interactive floor game system. Play lots of fun games using your feet!

The National Lime and Stone area looks like a real stone quarry inside The National Lime and Stone area looks like a real stone quarry inside. This exhibit has a quarry with small rocks in it. I can use the machines to dig for or haul stone.

I can farm at the Museum in the Findlay Implement exhibit I can farm at the Museum in the Findlay Implement exhibit. There is a field with real corn in it. I can pretend to plant crops with the tractors and farm equipment or pick vegetables from the garden!

I can pretend to be a dentist or a patient at the dentist’s office. Open wide!

This exhibit is the market. It is just like a real grocery store This exhibit is the market. It is just like a real grocery store. I can shop for different foods with a shopping cart and check out at the cash register. I always look for my favorite fruits and vegetables to buy when I’m there!

A veterinarian, or vet, is an animal doctor who treats pets when they're sick or injured. You can pretend to care for animals just like a veterinarian.

The Museum even has a kitchen I can play in The Museum even has a kitchen I can play in. The kitchen has dishes, pots, pans. and pretend food to play with. I can cook a meal, set the table, or wash the dishes. I hope you are hungry!

The doctor is in! The emergency room exhibit has x rays, a life size teddy bear operation game, and scrubs so I can be the doctor or nurse. The operation game has a buzzer that might be loud.

The last area of the museum is the Blanchard Valley Health System exhibit. I can play in real life ambulance, care for Teddy the patient, and pretend to be a doctor, nurse, or EMT worker! This area has no bright lights or sirens.

If the museum is too loud, or I just need some time to myself, I can go to a quiet area away from all of the activity at the museum.

At the end of my visit, I will say good-bye and follow the directions of the adult with me. I can’t wait to come back again!
