Human Rights Presentation
We have been working on researching a Human Rights Activist for the past month. Now it’s time to present your findings to the class. For this project, you have two choices: Class Oral Presentation outlining the information you had found about your assigned activist (with optional PowerPoint). --Or-- Film (PowerPoint) Presentation outlining the information you had found about your assigned activist.
Oral Presentation In a 3-5 minute presentation, outline the information that you found about your chosen Human Rights Activist. Be sure to include: What in the activists’ early life contributed to them becoming human rights leaders? What was the problem they addressed? What did they do? What was the outcome? Did they face any criticism? Note cards may be used Visuals, including PowerPoint presentations, are optional You will be assessed on the delivery of the information
PowerPoint In a 5 minute PowerPoint presentation, outline the information that you found about your chosen Human Rights Activist. Be sure to include: What in the activists’ early life contributed to them becoming human rights leaders? What was the problem they addressed? What did they do? What was the outcome? Did they face any criticism? PowerPoint must be narrated Information, images, and narration must flawlessly work together. You will be assessed on the presentation of the information.
Movie In a 5 minute movie, outline the information that you found about your chosen Human Rights Activist. Be sure to include: What in the activists’ early life contributed to them becoming human rights leaders? What was the problem they addressed? What did they do? What was the outcome? Did they face any criticism? Must be a WMV or MOV clip Information, images, and narration must flawlessly work together. You will be assessed on the presentation of the information. You may use any video producing programs that are available. If you need help, see Mr. Burns for assistance with Movie Maker or Mrs. Roessel for assistance with Moovly. This option takes a lot of time to complete and must be completed by the presentation date: be prepared to spend MANY hours working on this OUTSIDE of class time.
