Scoring
Calculated by taking the sum of the number of Sprint Round (40 minutes, 30 problems) questions answered correctly and twice the number of Target Round (30 minutes, 8 problems presented in four pairs) questions answered correctly. Maximum Score is 30 + 2(8) = 46 Individual Score
Calculated by dividing the sum of the team members’ Individual Scores by 4 and adding twice the number of Team Round (20 minutes, 10 problems) questions answered correctly. Highest possible Individual Score is 46, therefore the maximum possible Team Score is ((46+46+46+46) / 4)+2(10) =66 Team Score
Ties between individuals: Student with the higher Sprint Round score will receive the higher rank. If those are the same, then specific questions are considered. Questions get more difficult as you go on, so more difficult questions answered correctly will rank you higher. Ties between teams: Teams with the higher Team Round score, and then the higher sum of the team member’s Sprint Round scores, receives the higher rank. If a tie still remains specific questions from the Team round will be considered Tie Breaking
