Essay Topics You will be choosing your essay topics from SIX possible topics. Once you have chosen your topic, you WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CHANGE IT! No two people in any triad will be allowed to choose the same topic.

Essay Topics P.E. should be mandatory for all four years of high school. TUSD should have an alternately scheduled night school for teens. College should be free for everyone. Students should have to take a mandatory computer course. Students should have to take a mandatory course on child development. Technology is more of a hindrance than a help in education.

Essay Specifics This is an ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY; meaning that you are choosing a side on an issue and arguing in favor of it. Your research should support the argument you are making. You MUST evaluate at least FOUR SOURCES for your research, BUT you only have to USE TWO SOURCES in your actual writing. You MUST properly CITE all sources and create a properly formatted WORKS CITED page for your essay.

Essay Specifics Your essay MUST be 1-2 pages in length PLUS A WORKS CITED PAGE. TWO PAGES of actual writing IS THE MAXIMUM! It MUST be typed, double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font ONLY! It must be in MLA 8 format (see template provided). You will be PRESENTING YOUR ESSAY to the other members of your group/triad. Your presentation will be VIDEOTAPED, and a copy of the video MUST be emailed to me. For your presentation, you MUST have at least ONE visual aid (infographic).
