Habit 5 is Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood. We are learning how to listen before we talk and how to use empathy. Please read with your child every night. Please make sure your child does his/her homework and practices his/her sight words. A Peek At What We Are Learning Reading We are learning how to retell a story. When we retell a story we say what happened first, next, then and last. We can also say who the characters are and what the setting is. Writing We are writing simple sentences with our sight words. Math We are learning to compose and decompose numbers up to 10 and write a number sentence. Fundations We are continuing to learn letter sounds and how to properly write letters.
