THE IROQUOIS INDIANS BY CALEB, AMAYA, DALTON

HOMES To make a longhouse the iroqouis indians used four big elm posts. The iroqouis indians coverd the longhouse frames with elm bark.longhouses can be up to 100feet long.there could be up to 60 people in a longhouse.

Clothing THE IROQOUIS MADE CLOTHING FROM NATURAL MATERIALS. IROQUIS MEN WORE BREECHLOTHS WITH LONG LEGGINGS.AND THE WEMON WORE DEERSKIN DRESSES OR A LONG HIGH LEGGING THE IROQOUIS MEN ALSO WERE HEADDRESSINGS THAT WERE MADE OUT OF EAGLEFEATHERS.

FOOD/SURVIALE THEY ATE DEER,FISH,CORN,PUMPKINPIE,SOUP,AND CORNBREAD.THE ROOTS,BERRIES,PLUM,CHERRIES AND NUTS.

TRANSORPTATION THE IROQUOIS LIVIED IN NEW YORK STATE.THEY CAME FROM NORTH CAROLINA.THE IROQUOIS INDIANS USE CONAOES BUT MOSTLY TRAVEL ON FOOT.THERE WAS NO HORSES IN NORTH AMERICA.THEY USED SLEDS TO TRAVLE THROUGH THE SNOW.

FUN FACTS IROQUOIS BABIES WERE BORN IN LONGHOUSES. THEY WERE GIVEN A BATH, THEN WRAPPED IN SOFT PELTS. THE ONRIQINAL IROQUOIS HOMELAND COVERD A LARGE AREA OF NORTH AMERCIA.

WAR THEY USED WOODEN BOWS AND ARROWS,KNIVES,AND CLUBS.THE CLUB WAS PAINTED RED.BLACK WAMPUN WAS ATTACHED TO IT.

POTTERY THE IROQUOIS TRIBES WERE KNOWN FOR THEIR MASK CARVING WHICH IS CONSIDERD A SARCRED ART FORMTHAT OUTSIDERS ARE STIIL NOT PERMITTED TO VIEW MASK.

WOW OR COOL THE PEACE WAS A GREAT PROPHET AND LAWGIVER.
