What is Optometry? Optometrists examine eyes and other parts of the visual system. They diagnose and treat visual problems and manage diseases, injuries, and other disorders of the eyes. They also prescribe eyeglasses or normal lenses as needed.
Jobs Ophthalmologists: Specialist in medical and surgical eye disease. Opticians: Prepares correctional lenses according to an Ophthalmologist or Optometrists prescribtions. Optometric technician: perform a variety of tasks to assist the Optometrists in eye examinations.
