Where were you born? Laredo, TX. He grew up in Laredo.

Why did you join the service? He was 17years at the time and decided to join the air force.

Where were you living at the time? Laredo, his parents took him to San Antonio.

Why did you pick the branch you were in? There was a war going on at the time and he thought he could get a better career in the air force.

Do you recall your first days in the service? He had never been around African American people before and there was only 3 or four Mexicans.

Do you recall the day your service ended? Very much. I was supposed to be discharged on the second of December. I had everything ready to leave and live as a citizen.
