Stretching Ourselves Kids with Cerebral Palsy Fifth Grade Unit 4 Week 2

Story Summary Emily, Nic and Tanner all have cerebral palsy. Since activities that most people think are easy can be very difficult for people with cerebral palsy, these children work very hard every day of their lives.

Comprehension Skill Generalization: A generalization makes a general statement about different things or people having similar details. Sometimes an author uses words such as all, many, or in general, and generally to signal a generalization.

Grammar: Pronouns and Antecedents A pronoun is a word that replaces a noun or noun phrase. For example: I, you, he, she, it me, him, her, we, you, they, us. The word or words that a pronoun stands for - such as Julie, my father, or our cat Muffin is called the pronoun’s Antecedent. For example: Laura saw George, so she waved to him.
