What is Debate? “A formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward.” Arguing about a specific topic in a formal way, in this case, parliament style.

Competitions Local – Held at the unit to determine what team(s) we send to Provincials. Saturday 2 March 2019 Provincials – Held in Hamilton, units from the province send team(s) to battle against each other. Sunday 28 April 2019
Provincials Squadrons from Ontario send a team [in some cases 2 teams] to represent their unit. Four rounds of debating: two prepared debates [Gov’t and Opp.] and two impromptu debates [Gov’t and Opp.] Two top teams participate in the final debate. Prizes for Top Teams [gold/silver/bronze], Top Debaters [x2] and Top Speaker of the House.
