Presentation transcript:

Mrs. Carlson’s Kindergarten News I send home work or show you work on Seesaw that is not corrected. The reason is that I want to show the work that your child did. I use this information to plan lessons that meet the needs of your child. It is a snapshot of what your child is doing at school at this time. Reading and Math Upcoming Events In reading, we are working on pointing to words as we read them and reading sight words as well as new words in our books. In math, we have been working on graphing, counting, and identifying 1 less and 1 more. Jan. 10th – PTA meeting Jan. 29th – chess club Thank you! Other News Thank you for the many gifts and gift cards that Mrs. Swarm and I received for Christmas. We appreciate everything. The end of the quarter is January 17th. It is common for kindergarten students to receive Ps in many areas on their report cards. This is because the standards reflect what a student is expected to do by the end of kindergarten so a P means that they are making progress towards the end of year standards.
