Culturally Proficient Teachers Are deeply connected to the beliefs, behaviors, and values of individuals. They recognize that cultural proficiency encompasses five essential elements: assessing culture, valuing diversity, managing the dynamics of difference, adapting to diversity, and institutionalizing cultural knowledge.
