LINKING WORDS Linking words are also called connecting words Linking words are something that can really help our fluency in English, as they help us to create longer sentences

I bought a dog because I really wanted a pet For example I bought a dog I bought a dog because I really wanted a pet I bought a dog because I really wanted a pet. However, now I wish I hadn’t!

Second definition of linking words A Linking verb connects the subject with a word that gives information about the subject, such as a condition or relationship. They do not show any action; but, they link the subject with the rest of the sentence.

The word “are” is the linking word that For example “They are a problem.” The word “are” is the linking word that connects “they” and “problem” to show the relationship between the two words.

Linking words examples YAQOOT is excited about her promotion The eggs smell rotten Sometimes, boys act foolish

Some linking words come in the middle of the sentences Because And So But Until Then Etc……..

However Therefore In conclusion To summarise. Whereas some linking words join two sentences and often start with capital letter: However Therefore In conclusion To summarise.
