What are higher and degree apprenticeships? What qualifications will I achieve? What are the costs? Apprentices cannot be asked to pay for any element of their apprenticeship. Large employers use the “Apprenticeship levy” government funding to pay 100% (employer with annual PAYE bill of 3m/over). Smaller company apprenticeships 95% government funded, 5% employer Employers pay apprenticeship salaries, government funds support learning and training

How long do programmes last? Each apprenticeship differs Lower levels = shorter duration Degree Level 6 & 7: between 3 & 4 years average Learning can be day release (2 days every six weeks), day release. Days on campus, supported by distance learning
