IHBT at UMCH Family Services IHBT services at UMCH supports a contract with our local Children’s Services Board. It’s role is two fold for the county. The first is to return children home from out of county, out of home, programs. The second is to divert children who have been identified as possibly being removed. The program receives between 225 and 300 referrals per year Engagement rates have been at or above 85% (5 sessions or more) Outcomes have produced an 80 to 82% effectiveness rate(at home and in school at 6 months)

Department Structure 9 Clinicians and 1 Supervisor All master prepared professionals with more experience preferred Caseloads of 8 to 14 On call rotation with phone 100% community based, 1 family 1 clinician

Evidence Based Practice All clinicians are certified in TLC by 6 months TLC is an EBP in Trauma Informed Care utilizing many cognitive and other interventions Booster trainings are given yearly Weekly individual and group supervision as well as peer review Utilization review focusses on implementation All staff are exposed to and trained in Solution Focused Therapy as well All staff have access to NMT certified consultation and assessment
