The aim of the MAES – EU project to provide assistance,- on behalf of and in cooperation with the Commission-, to the Member States in the context of Action 5 of the EU 2020 Biodiversity Strategy, .... on the mapping and assessment of the state of ecosystems and their services in their national territory, .... making best use of studies and work already undertaken at EU and MS levels.
The Objective of the MAES –EU project to compare and test EU methods on pilot cases from Member States in order to identify possible commonalities and facilitate cross-linkages between national/sub-national assessments and the work carried out at EU level.
