Sidney Lewis The youngest British soldier to join the army was Sidney Lewis. He was only 12 years old. He was one of thousands of underage young boys who joined the war to help fight for their country. He fought in the Battle of Somme in 1916. He survived the Great War and died in 1969.
Bake Sale There will be a Bake Sale to commemorate the centenary of the end of World War 1 today at break. All cakes will cost 50p and donations will be made to charities.
Remembrance Assemblies Any pupils interested in participating in the assemblies to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War should attend a meeting today at lunch in Mrs Hogg’s room in History. Mrs Hogg
