Accepting Your Assignment God created us for a life of good works (Eph. 2:10) Regardless of your job or career, you are called to “full-time” Christian service We are here to serve and give like Jesus (Mt. 20:28)

Shaped for Serving God God has “shaped” each one of us to do certain things God planned every day and aspect of our lives before we were born (Ps. 139:16) God gives every believer spiritual gifts to be used in ministry

I Corinthians 2:14 “Whoever does not have the Spirit cannot receive the gifts that come from God’s Spirit.”

I Corinthians 12:7 “A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church.”

Applying Your Abilities Your spiritual gifts are given to you after you are saved; your natural abilities were given to you at birth Your abilities are a strong indication of what God wants you to do with your life

Painful Experiences Your greatest ministry may come out of your greatest hurt God allows painful experiences to equip us to minister to others (2 Cor. 1:4) The experiences you have resented or regretted are the ones God can use to help others
