SCx Payment Terms Updates Create Custom Payment Term Term Type Daily: Discount taken daily up to the net day of payment, normally .033% per day (GE standard) Single Tier: Discount only taken on the fixed discount day (non preferred) Multi Tier: Discount taken on 2 fixed days; this is only selected if your ERP/OU cannot use daily tier and can consume a multi tier discount days. This allows for better discount capture rate than single tier. No Discount: GE will pay on the Net day and will not take any discount. EOM (End of Month): Payment will be made on the last working day of the month with no discount Net Days The last day GE will send payment relative to the payment clock start date Settlement Net: Non-batched payments Monthly: Payments will be batched in order to limit payments to a specific day of the month as per terms and conditions Quarterly: Payments will be batched in order to limit payments to a specific day of the quarter as per terms and conditions
SCx Payment Terms Updates Create Custom Payment Term Discount percentage The discount rate applied when a supplier is paid earlier than the net days The discount % when combined with a daily Term Type & Net Days defines the daily rate Discount Days The day that defines the daily discount rate relative to the net day or the fixed discount day for single and multi-tier terms Annual Percentage Rate (APR) The short term borrowing rate that allows a supplier to receive funds early This is automatically calculated in Supplier Connect and cannot be edited GE historically sets the APR rate from 10% to 13%
SCx Payment Terms Updates Create TPS Payment Term Max Float Provides a limitation on how early payment can be made and thus the amount of discount that can be taken Variable APR Allows GE to choose between the fixed early pay discount rate or to utilize a different discount rate; normally based on 3 Month Labor DRA % DRA % is only used by the TPS discount program in Europe. It is a funding type where an additional percentage, between 0.0% and 3.0%, is added to the calculated discount rate. The payment term will have a fixed APR, then the DRA is added to discount rate TPS Agreement in place Identifies when a formal discount agreement is in place *A formal agreement is required for EU supplier and is typically set by the GE Capital TPS team or the Sourcing Global Commodity Leader/Manager Discount Funding Model Indicates when a third party bank makes payments to the supplier. Discount agreed between bank & supplier is not disclosed to GE. GE sends payment based on Discount Days, then Bank pays supplier early on discount. Last, GE bank settles on the intended Net day
