Student Information Management Understanding SASIxp Student Information Management
SASI SASIxp is the name of the student information management system utilized in our school division. We have used this system to manage student information since 2000.
Required Software Washington County Schools purchased the software necessary to operate SASIxp. A major investment that has provided our schools with the ability to effectively manage student data.
Technical Support There are 2 technology staff members housed at central office who are certified to support the application of this program. There is also at least 1 knowledgeable person in each school to support the application’s use. These individuals usually include the main school secretary, guidance counselors, and attendance clerks at the high school level.
What use do individual classroom teachers have with the application? Attendance Grading
What use do administrators and supervisor’s have with the application? Attendance Grading Discipline Parent Contacts Demographics
What use do parents have with the application? The are options available but our school district has not purchased those.
The application keeps different types of student documentation. Student behavior for state reporting Day and class period attendance reporting which can be used to generate parental notification.
Being Beneficial The greatest benefit of SASIxp is having all relevant student information in one place.
Future Benefits It is hopeful that SASIxp will add a more standard interface.
