No decorative rips or fabric-covered torns Jeans/Pants Not ripped, torn or damaged No low rise, low cut or sagging No biker shorts, sweat pants, Leggings, tights or sports attire No decorative rips or fabric-covered torns
Pajamas No pajamas – tops or bottoms No bed time attire
Head Gear No hats, caps, bandanas, hair rollers, hair curlers, plastic hair bags, hair nets, sweat bands, skull caps, or do-rags
Must not be see through or revealing Shirt/Blouse Must not be see through or revealing No spaghetti straps
Earrings/Piercings No piercings at all for males No facial jewelry, piercings – including tongue piercing during school
Finger-tip Length Dresses, shorts and skirts must be longer than the tips of the fingers when arms are by the side
Shoes All students must wear appropriate foot ware No flip-flops, house shoes, steel-toed boots or shoes
T-shirts/Jerseys No inappropriate logos or symbols on t-shirts, jewelry or body art Jerseys must have sleeves
Before You Shop
Important Tips Students should make every effort to come to school on time and prepared to learn. Following school rules, as stated in the DISD Student Code of Conduct, is an expectation of all students. The Administration reserves the right to determine appropriateness of dress code and grooming. Students who come to school without proper attire or grooming will have two options: (1) call home requesting a change of clothes, etc. (2) Be assigned to Saturday School Detention
