Senate Bill 65 Students may take up to 2 of their 8 credits in an online format. SEOP required By 2017, 9-12th grade students may take up to 6 credits online. Early Graduates may take 2 additional credits each school year. Schools must provide info about online courses in registration materials. Providers must administer CRT tests. If course is from an outside provider, $726.94 is taken from the LEA and given to the provider. 1/15/2019 4:58 PM

Providers 3 categories for the 2011- 2012 school year Alpine School District Electronic High School Outside providers (state- approved) 1/15/2019 4:58 PM

1/15/2019 4:58 PM

Alpine District as provider Must be included in the student’s SEOP No course credit acknowledgement (CCA) form needed. State does not remove any money for the online course. We will be using some of our East Shore curriculum as well as Aventa (K12 curriculum). 1/15/2019 4:58 PM

Electronic High School Electronic High School will remain free to students for the 2011-2012 school year. For the 2011-2012 school year, no money will be taken from the LEA and given to EHS. 1/15/2019 4:58 PM

Outside Providers Must fill out the Course Credit Acknowledgement form during the SEOP. CCA form is signed by the LEA, online provider, and USOE. State withdraws $726.94 per student, per credit from the LEA. If the student stays enrolled in the course for 10 days, the state pays the provider 50% of the money ($363.47). The other 50% is held in the “Uniform School Fund”. If the student finishes the course in the standard time frame (semester/year), the provider will receive the other 50% of the money. If the student finishes the course after the standard time frame (and before graduation) the provider will receive an additional 30% of the remaining funds. The other 20% remains in the “Uniform School Fund.” 1/15/2019 4:58 PM
