How Science 7 Class Works It Rocks!

Junior High is different from Elementary A. Seven teachers with seven different styles of teaching B. No recess / No homeroom C. Higher expectations = treated more like an adult

Science is Unique in Junior High A. No textbooks B. Lots of Activity / Doing

Science is Unique in Junior High C. MUST follow directions D. The ultimate in mad skills

If you’re having fun… you’ll probably learn something by accident The MOTTO of this class If you’re having fun… you’ll probably learn something by accident

Besides the school-wide rules, this class has only one other rule: SHOW RESPECT!

We follow a basic schedule The year is divided into 8 units – about 4 weeks each Pretest on the first day of the unit Hand out Unit Cover Page on first day – tape into notebook Daily Brain Starter / activities = graded on completion

We follow a basic schedule Homework page due / scored every Friday Quiz every Friday (graded on score – not completion) Notebook due (completed and scored) on test day Big Unit Test on Tuesday, evaluate Wednesday, study Thursday, re-test (or explore) Friday

How points are earned

Late work is possible, but not advisable Late work is possible, but not advisable. Turn in before school starts / talk to me Be Prepared!
