Round character: a complex character with more than one “side” to them. Responsible Unforgiving Hopeful Sarcastic Brave Negative

Flat Character: a simple, one-sided character Anton Sully

Internal Conflict: a problem within oneself. Part of the character wants one thing. Part of him wants another.

Foreshadowing: the author hints about something that will happen later in the story.

Mood: the reader’s emotional response to a story.

Tone: The author’s attitude

3rd Person Limited: An outside narrator only follows the main character and tells us what he/she is thinking.

3rd Person Omniscient: An outside narrator tells us what multiple different characters are thinking.
