YOU ALSO NEED TO GET A FEW THINGS IN ORDER: Sign “Transcript Release Form” Secure letters of recommendation Review college application details and deadlines Go to collegeboard.com to forward official SAT Scores Make a calendar with dates and deadlines Feel free to e-mail Mrs. Hallinan with any questions

PROCESSING THE TWO-YEAR COLLEGE APPLICATION (RCGC) Priority Admissions Program Meeting for Seniors - October 16th SAT/ACT not required for admission but may be used for placement and special programs No recommendations necessary

FOUR-YEAR COLLEGE APPLICATIONS Application (online preferred) Official Transcript SAT or ACT scores Letters of Recommendation (if required) College Essay (if required) Application Fee

Using the Common Application Make sure the colleges you are applying to accept the common app, some schools only use the common app for example Rowan. The Common Application can be accessed through Naviance. If using the Common Application, please see Mrs. Hallinan for more details.

LET’S TALK ABOUT SCHOLARSHIPS. . . College-based Scholarships- These are usually called Merit Scholarships and are awarded based on a minimum SAT score and GPA. Community-based Scholarships—investigate your employer, church, local businesses and organizations Many scholarship opportunities can be found using Naviance – Naviance Student! www.fastweb.com RaiseMe.com

What about financial aid? You should direct all questions and concerns to the financial aid office of a specific college

NCAA CLEARINGHOUSE Send High School Transcript to the Clearinghouse Send SAT/ACT scores to the Clearinghouse use code “9999”

What can you do to get the most out of your senior year???? Keep a close eye on your grades!!

Dates to Remember…… October 16, 2018- RCGC Senior Priority Registration Presentation October 11, 2018 – Gloucester County College Fair at Rowan College at Gloucester County 6:00 to 8:00 pm AND RCGC Fall Open House 6:00pm – 8 pm October 14, 2018 – NACAC College Fair Pennsylvania Convention Center 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. November 1, 2018 – NACAC College Fair Atlantic City Convention Center 9:00 a.m. to12:00p.m./6:00 to 8:00 p.m. November 13, 2018 – HBCU College Fair

2018 FALL/WINTER SAT DATES November 3rd – Registration by October 5th *November 3rd Test can be taken at Clayton HS* December 1st – Registration by November 2nd

2018 – 2019 FALL/WINTER ACT DATES December 8th – Register by November 2nd February 9th – Register by January 11th ** Note: The ACT is not offered at Clayton High School**
