Thursday December 11th A-day Warm Up- Cause and Effect Vocabulary Words 6-10 Exploring Internet Safety– Google Form Cause and Effect Paragraph Work Time 7.4 Students will determine the meanings and pronunciations of unfamiliar words and phrases within authentic texts. 7.6 The student will read and demonstrate comprehension of a variety of nonfiction texts 7.8 The student will edit writing for correct grammar, capitalization, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, and paragraphing 7.9 The student will apply knowledge of appropriate reference materials to produce a research product.

Set 3 Vocabulary Slideshow 7.4 Students will determine the meanings and pronunciations of unfamiliar words and phrases within authentic texts.

heed verb: To pay attention to. noun: Attention; notice.

mortal noun: A human being, especially as contrasted with a god. adjective: Of or relating to human beings. Causing death; fatal. Very severe.

Exploring Internet Safety When you get logged in please open a Google Chrome browser Log in to Google Classroom and open up the form that I have assigned for you to complete Then go to Netsmartz.org to complete the assigned tasks You have 10minutes to complete this activity 7.6 The student will read and demonstrate comprehension of a variety of nonfiction texts 7.9 The student will apply knowledge of appropriate reference materials to produce a research product.

Drafting Take the next 10minutes and finish the graphic organizer that we started last class Then take the information in your graphic organizer and turn it into a complete paragraph Reminders: Use in-text citations for all direct quotes and paraphrases Make sure your paragraph flows and makes sense it shouldn’t be choppy Use the direct quotes and paraphrases to support your ideas. This shouldn’t be a paragraph of quotes. When you have finished your draft come get a highlighting sheet from me 7.6 The student will read and demonstrate comprehension of a variety of nonfiction texts 7.8 The student will edit writing for correct grammar, capitalization, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, and paragraphing
