Presentation transcript:

High School 21+: It’s not a test – it’s a diploma! HIGH SCHOOL 21+ is a state-approved, WIOA-endorsed program that allows students (21 and over) to earn a high school diploma (not an equilvalent). Tuition is $25/quarter. High School 21+ students work closely with ABE advising and faculty to evaluate HS transcripts and design an educational pathway that fills in gaps and fits individual needs/goals. This pathway doesn’t stop at a diploma, but is part of a larger individual Ed Plan toward certficates or degrees. In High School 21+, students can earn high school credit by: Taking Basic Skills classes in ABE, GED, ESL, and I-BEST programs Using prior learning and previous work and military experience Meeting specific scores on assessments and placement tests: Compass, ACT, SAT, GED Completing portfolios and learning contracts in Fine Arts, Health, PE, WA State History, etc. Taking College-level classes and receiving both high school and college credit simultaneously (acceleration).
