Color- the element of art derived from reflected light.
Color has 3 properties- Hue, Value, Intensity
Hue- the color
Intensity- brightness or dullness
Value- lighness or darkness
Perspective- How we perceive things in space.
When things are far away, we are seeing them through the effects of the air. This causes things further away to appear to have less detail, be lighter in value and the color has less intensity. This is called- Atmospheric Perspective
Blue light, which has a shorter wavelength than other colors, is scattered more than the other colors. This scattering causes distant objects to appear slightly hazy and bluish in color. This is also why mountains appear much closer on clear, dry days
