Alta Vista Intermediate Classroom News! Ms. Spears-Science- So far we have spent time learning about the scientific method and lab safety. We will continue to learn about science equipment and practice accurately reading measurements using this equipment. Mr. MacDonald-Math- We are off to a fantastic start this fall, working on place value, rounding, order of operations, and solving real-world math problems.  The number one way you can help your child have a great math experience this year is to work daily on multiplication facts.  Choose just a few facts to go over if they are struggling and expand as your child shows mastery!  I look forward to working with your child this year.  Please write me a note in their planner with any questions or concerns or give me a call (after 2:20pm is best!).  Thanks! Descubre is a Spanish Heritage program that focuses on learning Spanish through the study of a Latin country, its traditions and its customs.
