Words of Wisdom and Tamilness Every town is our hometown. Everyone is our kin! No evil and good comes to us from others, nor do sufferings and peace. Death is nothing new. We do not rejoice when life is pleasant. When we suffer we do not say that living is miserable. Through the vision of those who have understood, we know that precious life makes its way like a raft riding the heavy currents of a river that roars endlessly, fed by cold rains with bolts of lightning as it crashes against rocks. So, we are not awed by those who are great. Much less, we do not despise those who are ignorant. 192. பெரியோர் சிறியோர்!  பாடியவர்: கணியன் பூங்குன்றன்  திணை: பொதுவியல் துறை: பொருண்மொழிக் காஞ்சி  யாதும் ஊரே; யாவரும் கேளிர்; தீதும் நன்றும் பிறர்தர வாரா; நோதலும் தணிதலும் அவற்றோ ரன்ன; சாதலும் புதுவது அன்றே; வாழ்தல் இனிதுஎன மகிழ்ந்தன்றும் இலமே; முனிவின், இன்னா தென்றலும் இலமே; ‘மின்னொடு வானம் தண்துளி தலைஇ, ஆனாது கல்பொருது இரங்கும் மல்லற் பேர்யாற்று நீர்வழிப் படூஉம் புணைபோல, ஆருயிர் முறைவழிப் படூஉம்’ என்பது திறவோர் காட்சியின் தெளிந்தனம் ஆகலின், மாட்சியின் பெரியோரை வியத்தலும் இலமே; சிறியோரை இகழ்தல் அதனினும் இலமே.

Praise of a King: பற்று ‘இவன் யார்?’ என்குவை ஆயின், இவனே, புறநானூறு 13, பாடியவர்: உறையூர் ஏணிச்சேரி முடமோசியார், பாடப்பட்டோன் : சோழன் முடித்தலைக் கோப்பெருநற்கிள்ளி, திணை: பாடாண், துறை: வாழ்த்தியல் ‘இவன் யார்?’ என்குவை ஆயின், இவனே, புலிநிறக் கவசம் பூம்பொறி சிதைய, எய்கணை கிழித்த பகட்டு எழில் மார்பின், மறலி அன்ன களிற்று மிசை யோனே; களிறே, முந்நீர் வழங்கு நாவாய் போலவும், பன்மீன் நாப்பண் திங்கள் போலவும், சுறவு இனத்து அன்ன வாளோர் மொய்ப்ப, மரீஇயோர் அறியாது, மைந்துபட் டன்றே; நோயிலன் ஆகிப் பெயர்கதில் அம்ம! பழன மஞ்ஞை உகுத்த பீலி கழனி உழவர் சூட்டொடு தொகுக்கும், கொழுமீன், விளைந்த கள்ளின், விழுநீர் வேலி நாடுகிழ வோனே. Praise of a God: பக்தி – The Polemics Divyaprabandam: 2464: வேந்தராய் விண்ணவராய் விண்ணாகித் தண்ணளியாய் மாந்தராய் மாதாய்மற் றெல்லாமாய், - சார்ந்தவர்க்குத் தன்னாற்றான் நேமியான் மால்வண்ணன் தான்கொடுக்கும், பின்னால்தான் செய்யும் பிதிர். 83 பிதிரும் மனமிலேன் பிஞ்ஞகன் றன்னோடு, எதிர்வன் அவனெனக்கு நேரான், - அதிரும் தொழக்காதல் பூண்டேன் தொழில். 84 கழற்கால மன்னனையே கண்ணனையே, நாளும் பிதிரும் மனமிலேன் பிஞ்ஞகன் றன்னோடு (திருமழிசையாழ்வார்) He is the King, a celestial and he becomes the Sky! Conceptualization of Chidambaram Temple Tirum: 2840 உருவன்றி யேநின்று உருவம் புணர்க்கும் கருவன்றி யேநின்று தான்கரு வாகும் அருவன்றி யேநின்ற மாயப் பிரானைக் குருவன்றி யாவர்க்கும் கூடஒண் ணாதே.  He has no form, but he forms the basis of all forms. Human’s ability to realize the power within Tirum: 2017 சீவன் எனச்சிவன் என்னவே றில்லை சீவ னார்சிவ னாரை அறிகிலர் சீவ னார்சிவ னாரை அறிந்தபின் சீவ னார்சிவ னாயிட்டு இருப்பரே. Human Body as a Spiritual entity Tirum:1823 உள்ளம் பெருங்கோயில் ஊனுடம்பு ஆலயம் வள்ளற் பிரானார்க்கு வாய்கோ புரவாசல் தெள்ளத் தெளிந்தார்க்குச் சீவன் சிவலிங்கம் கள்ளப் புலன்ஐந்தும் காளா மணிவிளக்கே.  Mind is the magnificent temple, the fleshy body is the temple For the generous Lord, mouth is the gateway For the enlightened ones, the soul(Śivan) is the Śiva Liṅka All the five senses are thus the ceaseless sacred lamps. Cf. the tradition of “nantā viḷakku” during the Chōḻā's tradition and the idea of காளா மணிவிளக்கு.
